Configure marketing groups for Connected Recommendations

Configuring your marketing groups is a prerequisite for Connected Recommendations, which includes features like Top selling products. Without these configurations, personalized recommendations and region-specific content will not function as expected.

The Connected Recommendations settings allow you to map Engage marketing groups to Elevate markets, enabling region-specific configuration, accurate data flow, proper localization, and alignment with the correct infrastructure cluster.

How it works

Elevate markets are configured once in ConfigHub and can then be reused across marketing groups. Each market defines how Engage connects with Elevate, localizes content, and structures e-commerce URLs.

Step 1: Create an Elevate market

  1. Go to Config Hub > Connected: Elevate > Elevate markets, and click Create

  2. Edit your Elevate market, configure the following settings:
  • Name
Optional, if not applied Market/locale data from Elevate will be used.
  • Cluster ID
Your unique Elevate identifier. Found in Elevate under Integration / Credentials. Read more here
  • Elevate market
Links the configuration to a specific market in Elevate, ensuring data and recommendations follow that market's structure and rules.
  • Elevate locale
Defines the locale used when calling Elevate, enabling proper localization of language and regional preferences.
  • Base URL
The market's storefront URL, used to construct product links (e.g., www.voyado.co.uk or www.voyado.com/se).

Click Save and the market can now be used in Engage.

Step 2: Map a marketing group to an Elevate market

  1. Go to Configure Engage and select the relevant marketing group.

  2. In the bottom of the Marketing group page, settings for Connected Recommendations are available, select the Elevate market that corresponds to this marketing group.

The selected market's cluster, locale, and base URL will automatically apply to all Connected Recommendations in that marketing group.
