Facebook permissions for Meta Leads integration
To connect your Facebook Lead Ads to Voyado Engage, your Facebook user account and associated assets need specific permissions.
Follow these steps to configure the required permissions.
1. Facebook page admin access
You must be an admin of the Facebook Page running the lead ad, since lead forms are tied to the Page.
- Go to Facebook Page settings and then Page Roles.
- Ensure your role is set to Admin (and not just Editor or Moderator).
2. Ad account access
To create or manage Lead Ads, your user must also have access to the Facebook Ad Account running the campaigns.
- Visit Business Manager Settings.
- Under Ad Accounts, confirm that you have either:
- Admin access to create and manage ads and forms.
- Advertiser access to use existing assets.
3. CRM access via Business Integration
When connecting Facebook to Engage, Facebook prompts you to grant permissions through a Business Integration prompt. These permissions must be accepted for syncing to work.
Required permissions include:
- Manage your Pages
- Read lead data from your forms
- Access to Ad Accounts and connected assets
- Read business asset groups
4. Leads access in Facebook Business Settings
Facebook also requires that your user is explicitly granted Leads Access, even if you already have Page Admin rights.
- Go to Business Settings.
- Click Integrations → Leads Access.
- Select your Page and confirm your user has access.
- If not, click Assign People and select your user.
If this step is skipped, Engage will not receive leads, even if everything else is correctly configured.
5. Engage specific requirements
To complete the integration in Voyado Engage:
- You must have configured the integration in Engage correctly.
- Your Facebook Business Account must be connected via the Meta Lead Ads app in Engage.
- You must authorize the Facebook connection using your login credentials.
6. Other troubleshooting tips
- Are no leads coming through?
- Recheck Leads Access in Facebook Business Manager.
- Reauthorize your Facebook connection in Engage.
- Ensure the lead form is attached to the correct Page.
- Are your leads missing data?
- Review the form fields in Facebook and confirm they are correctly mapped in Engage.
