Contact does not accept email
Contacts who do not accept email (Contact Preferences) are considered unreachable via this communication channel.
No email address registered
In some cases, no email address might be registered.
Email address with black strikethrough
Email addresses that are displayed in black with a strikethrough belong to unsubscribed contacts. This article includes more information about the different ways contacts can unsubscribe. The contact preference “Accepts email” will be automatically unchecked.
If a contact marks an email as spam, the contact´s email address will be displayed in black with a strikethrough. However, the contact preference “Accept email” will remain unchanged.
Red strikethrough
A blocked email address is shown in red with a strikethrough. There are several scenarios that may cause an email address to become blocked.
Hard bounce
An email sent to an invalid email address will result in a hard bounce, causing the address to be blocked from future communication.
10 recurring soft bounces
A soft bounce occurs when there is a temporary issue delivering an email. When it comes to this type of bounces, an email address will only become blocked if 10 recurring soft bounces are registered within 90 days. This block reason will be visible when reviewing the Change History on the contact card.
