Each automation has a state that indicates where it is in its lifecycle.
- Draft: The automation is not yet activated and can be edited freely.
- Active: The automation is running, and contacts can enter and move through it.
- Finishing: The automation is no longer accepting new contacts, but existing contacts are still moving through the flow until completion.
- Archived: The automation is no longer active and cannot be used unless restored or duplicated.
Understanding these states helps you manage your automations and know what actions are available at any given time.
