AI translations make it easy for you to localize your content across markets without duplicating manual work. You can create your content in Design mode in any language, and then automatically translate it based on the locale of your selected Marketing Group. The feature ensures that existing content is protected and that only missing parts are translated when you update your design. This helps you scale campaigns faster while maintaining control over your messaging.
Prerequisites
Before you start using AI translations, make sure:
• You have created your content in Design mode.
• You have at least one Marketing Group configured with the correct locale for the target language (the language you are translating TO).
The locale set on the Marketing Group determines the language used for the translation.
How it works
- Create and finalize your content in Design mode. You can write the content in any language.
- Go to Localization.
- Select the Marketing Group you want to translate the content for.
- Start the translation.
When you start the translation, all content currently available in Design mode is used as the source text. The system identifies the target language based on the locale stored on the selected Marketing Group.
When you trigger a translation, we send all text content from Design mode to the AI translation service as the source. The selected Marketing Group controls the target language through its locale setting.
Once the translation is returned, the editor automatically places the translated text into the corresponding fields in each element. Merge tags and personalization fields are not translated. They remain unchanged to ensure that dynamic content continues to work as expected.
If an element already contains content, whether it is manually written or from a previous translation, it will not be overwritten. This protects any adjustments you have made.
Translating added content
If you later add new elements to your design, you can run the translation again. Only the missing content will be translated and added. Existing translated or manually edited text will remain unchanged.
This approach allows you to continuously update your campaigns while keeping translations aligned with your latest design.
