You can collect customer birthdays in Shopify and automatically send the data to Engage. With a birthday trigger set in an automation, relevant offers and messages will be sent to your contacts just in time.

Set up a birthday field in Shopify

Voyado Birthday is a special customer metafield in Shopify, which you can find under Settings → Metafields and metaobjects → Customers → Voyado Birthday.

In the metafield settings, you can set validation rules. If you have an age limit set in Voyado, set a maximum date here to apply the same limit to your Shopify customers.

You can set the birthday manually in Shopify, through a third-party application or by adding it to a Shopify form to collect the birthday data automatically – it all depends on your preferred way of working.

In the Shopify form settings, you can edit the field label, make it mandatory if needed, and choose the format in which the field should be displayed.
