About multichannel promotions

Multichannel promotions are Engage promotions can be used both online and in-store. They are a very flexible option, allowing you to:

  • Reward customers with one offer available in all channels for a consistent experience
  • Use customer data and purchase history to send targeted promotions tailored just for them
  • Set individual validity so that the same promotion can expire at different times for each customer
  • Encourage repeat visits by making rewards easy to access and redeem
  • Reach customers with the right offer at the right moment, improving conversions and ROI

Online and in-store

A multichannel promotion's usefulness comes from its ability to work both online and in-store, but be set up to work differently in both of these modes.

For "Monetary discount" and "Give percentage discount" the promotion details are handled in Engage.

For a promotion of value type “External promotion code” the code refers to a price rule that stored in the retailer’s system (ERP or e-com platform). Engage does not control the details of such a promotion. When a promotion like this is displayed, the POS just looks up the relevant price rule using the external promotion code value and them seamlessly displays those details.
