These settings are only available for customers using both Engage and Elevate.
The Connected Recommendations settings in Marketing Groups in the Configure Engage area allow you to map Engage marketing groups to corresponding markets in Elevate.
Doing this enables region-specific configuration, ensuring accurate data flow, proper localization, and alignment with the correct infrastructure cluster. These settings are crucial for delivering personalized experiences and maintaining reliable system performance.
How it works
Each marketing group in Configure Engage can be customized with inputs that define how it connects with Elevate, localizes content, and structures e-commerce URLs. These configurations ensure that the marketing group fetches data from Elevate based on the geographic or language-specific context.
How to configure marketing groups
Elevate Market
Links the marketing group in Engage to a specific market in Elevate, ensuring that all data and recommendations retrieved from Elevate follow the selected market's structure and rules. Learn more about how markets work in Elevate here.
Elevate Locale
Defines the locale Engage should use when calling Elevate for the selected market. This enables proper localization of content, such as language and regional preferences, ensuring relevance for end users.
E-com base URL
Specifies the base URL for the site linked to the marketing group. This varies depending on the domain structure of the retailer, for example by domain (e.g., www.voyado.com or www.voyado.co.uk) or by path (e.g., www.voyado.com/se). This URL is used to construct product page links tailored to the regional site structure.
Setting it up
- Go to Configure Engage and select the relevant marketing group.
- Assign the correct Elevate Market to match the group with its Elevate counterpart.
- Select the Elevate Locale that corresponds to the region’s language and settings.
- Input the appropriate E-com base URL based on your site’s domain structure.
These configurations ensure each marketing group is properly localized and integrated with Elevate, supporting a seamless and region-aware user experience.
