Voyado Engage

User statuses

This guide outlines the possible user statuses for Engage users, depending on whether an environment is set up to use non-federated login (email/password via Voyado) or federated login (via the customer’s Identity Provider, or IdP).

Non-federated user (Email+password managed by Voyado)

These users authenticate using an email, password and MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication). Below are the possible statuses:

User status Description
Active The user has completed the invite flow and can log in. If MFA is enabled, they’ve also registered their MFA device.
Login to setup MFA

The user has set a password but has not completed MFA setup. At the next login, they must finish MFA registration (scan QR code, enter code from authenticator app). This status also applies if the user has been triggered for a reset 2FA action.

Invited The user has not yet logged in but has an active invite.
Invite expired The invite has been expired, or the invite has been deleted. Either way, the user needs to be sent an invite and then complete the invitation flow.

Federated user (Customer-managed IdP)

In a federated login flow the user is ultimately authenticated by its organization’s specific IdP instead of one of the Auth0 instances that Voyado manages:

User status Description
Active The user has logged in successfully at least once.
Not yet logged in

The user has not yet logged in.

Invited / Invite expired Not applicable. These statuses will appear as Not yet logged in.
