The Message delivery statistics report visualizes delivery data for manual sendouts (emails, text messages, or postal exports) and doesn't include transactional sendouts or communication sent through marketing automation workflows.
When you open the report, you see the average open rate over the last 30 days, or the metric and period that you chose the last time you visited the report.
You can see which filters and selections you have made above the graph, presented starting from the graph canvas top left corner.
At the top right you have two buttons: Download the report and Edit filter. If you scroll down, you find a table list of all the sendouts that exist in the current selection.
Click Download report, to start a download of a CSV file. The columns you receive in the CSV file are in exact numbers. From these numbers, you can make any changes you see fit to get the rates or graphs you want.
Pressing this button allows you to enter a dialogue where you can edit the filter and adjust how you want the report to present numbers. When you're finished editing the filter, click Apply filter.
At the top of this dialogue box, you can see three radio buttons. Each button corresponds to a communications channel (email, SMS, and postal). You may select the communication channel that you wish to view in the graph and in the sendouts table below the graph.
Directly beneath the channel selection is a date range picker, allowing you to select a date range of interest. You're then able to see statistics for all sendouts that exist in that date range.
“Group by” is situated beneath the date range picker. In this drop-down list, you select how to aggregate and view your data.
Day/Week/Month
Selecting Day/Week/Month will aggregate all sendouts that occurred the same Day/Week/Month and calculate the different rates based on the selected time frame.
Sendout
When you select sendout, you will see each sendout in the form of a bar in a bar chart. This allows you to easily compare measures between sendouts.
In this drop-down, select a measure that you want to view in the graph. You choose from the following:
- Total sent
- Average Open rate
- Average Unique Click rate
- Average Unique CTOR (Click to open rate)
- Average Click rate
- Average CTOR
- Average opt-out rate
- Average delivery rate
- Average Soft bounce rate
- Average Hard bounce rate
- Number of attributed receipts
- Revenue (attributed revenue based on manual sendouts)
- Number of attributed receipts per recipient
- Attributed revenue per recipient
The attribution values in this report give you the transactions and revenue registered in the one, three, or seven-day window after the message was received or clicked on by the recipients. Read more in this article.
The attributed revenue in this report is based on the sendouts made during the selected period and reflects the revenue that can be linked to those sendouts. This may differ to the overview in the dashboard, since that is based on the purchases in the period and connects the emails that are linked to those purchases.
The sendouts table shows all the sendouts that exist in the result from the filter dialogue.
In the top left section of this table is the search field. Type part of a sendout name or subject line that you wish to search for.
