Use the Exit automation feature to remove customers from an automation at any point.
Exit automation is useful for working with merged splits. Eventually one or more branches might reach a dead end, and that’s where Exit automation comes in handy.
There is no need to insert exit automation at every point where the automation should end, when a contact reaches the bottom, they exit either way.
In this example, we have an automation for new members that need to give their consent. After sending a reminder and still not receiving any response within 1 week the contact should exit the automation (otherwise they’ll receive an e-mail with a “thank you” and a promotion).
- On the ‘no’ side, click the plus sign and then Exit automation.
- Click OK to add the event.
